Harold Turner Obituary
CHESNEE, SC-- Harold D. Turner, born June 28, 1936, in Thomasville, N. C., a resident of Chesnee, S. C., passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2017. He was the husband of Yvonne C. Turner for 59 years. He was the son of the late Ovin and Edith Flippen Turner. A retired truck driver from Ingersol Rand and John Cheesman, an active member of American Legion Post 48 in Chesnee where he was a former commander. Harold proudly served our country in the occupied Germany Post WWII while in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law: Gregory S. Turner (Diane), Kenneth E. Turner (Barbara) of Chesnee, Michael A. Turner (Jinny) of Inman, a brother Wayne Turner (Carol) of Thomasville, N. C. He is also survived by grandchildren Caitlin Blair, Kelsey Cox (Lucas) and Blake Turner, and two great grandchildren Harper and Hudson Cox. Harold is also survived by his in-laws, Josephine Rickard, George (Peggy), Joyce (Robert) Phyllis (Dallas), Barry (Judy), Linda (Larry) Cheryl (Steve), Gary (Carolyn), and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sister's Patsy Turner Beck and Betty Turner Shores and a brother William Kohn Turner.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at 7:00pm at Eggers Funeral Home Chapel of Chesnee with Dr. Curtis Daniel officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00pm to 7:00 pm, followed by the memorial service. Burial will be private at a later date.
The family will be at the home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Legion Post 48, 820 South Alabama Ave., Chesnee S.C. 29323.

I am so very sorry for your lose. I Thank Harold for his service that helped to keep us free to enjoy the life that we have in the United States.
I am sure he has already been escorted by the angels to his destination to where he can be young and healthy again. You are in my prayers.

So very sorry to hear of Harold's passing. Always enjoyed the times we were all together in Tahoe and the fun we had. Riding rapids and playing cards, great memories for sure. I know he will be deeply missed. We will keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayers.

As the days ahead will have it difficult moments, remember he is with God and is happy, laughing and young again. Our hearts and prayers are with each one of you. We pray for God to have his arms around you and give you comforted and love. Amen (He will always be with you).
I remember him going to the Bantam Chef on his golf cart. Breakfast for Bella and him.
