Helen Geneva Navy Simmons
WELLFORD, SC-- Helen Geneva Navy Simmons, 84, of 249 Waspnest Road died Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at White Oak Manor. A native of Clinton, she was the daughter of the late John Stamey and Julia Faye Fuller Navy and the widow of the late Howard E. Simmons. Ms. Simmons was of Church of God faith and a homemaker and bookkeeper for Howard S. Simmons Trucking.
Survivors include two sons, Howard Stamey "Sonny" Simmons of Wellford and James Luther Simmons of Woodruff; four daughters, Doris Helen Hurley of Greer, Nancy Faye Hussey of Inman, Gloria Guynell Bushta of Wellford, and Donna K. Pearson of Moore; eleven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 3:30 PM Friday at Wellford Cemetery with Dr. Bill Jolley officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at Stribling Funeral Home.
Memorials maybe made to Interim Hospice, 775 Spartan Boulevard, Spartanburg, SC 29301.
