Lovingood, Jr.

Spartanburg-- James 'Buddy' William Monroe Lovingood Jr., 79, died on Thursday, October 15 at his home. 'Buddy' was married to Mary Lovingood and was the son of the late James and Hester (Duncan) Lovingood, Sr.
Born in Spartanburg County, he served in the Army. After many years as Auto Manager at K-Mart, he opened up Scooter and Rascal Produce which he ran for 24 years from his yard with his wife. Known as the 'tomato man', many were supplied with fresh produce from his market.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; four children: sons Ray, William (wife, Kim), Eddie and a daughter, Glenda Kimbrell; a brother, Dennis and a sister, Nora Lee. Buddy has seven Grandchildren, three Great-Grandchildren and two special canine friends, Rascal and Pitty Pat.
Mr. Lovingood was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Monday, October 19, 2015 at Living Waters Funeral Home & Crematory, Lyman, SC. Graveside service will be 2:00pm Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Fort Prince Memorial Gardens.
