Kathy, I can't believe that it has been almost a year since you left this earth and went to Heaven. I miss you a lot and think of you every day. All I have to do is look out the window or door and I see your house and wish that you were there so I could talk with you. I know that you are not in any more pain and for that I am so grateful, but the selfish part of me wishes you were still here with us. Just know that you are missed more than you could imagine. Love you girl!

Kemp, Brooke and all of Kathy's family: We have been neighbors living across the street for 30 years. Kathy was a friend to me and we would spend our time talking on the phone when she became unable to visit. We would laugh and talk for a good while. She was a very caring and loving person. She loved her family very much and also her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I am going to miss you my friend but we will see each other again one day.

Kathy was my dearest friend. We first met at Appalachian State University when we were both freshmen. We became fast friends and remained so throughout her life. We shared so many of life's experiences and were always there for each other. She was a loving and caring person and was quite witty. Kathy also had a great sense of humor and we laughed often when we were together. I will always cherish my memories of Kathy for I loved her dearly. Cindy Huntley Beason Calvert, Forest City, NC
