Larry Laster
WOODRUFF, SC-- Larry William Laster, 68, of 5 Poplar Street, died Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System.
A native of Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late Robert Johnny and Annie Mae Gwinn Laster. He was a member of the Woodruff Church of God and was a retired machinist with General Electric in Greenville.
Surviving are his wife, Joyce Richards Laster of the home; one daughter, Kim Baumgardner of Enoree; two sons, Richie Laster of Woodruff and Brian Laster of Enoree; two sisters, Loretta Stutts of Woodruff and Judy Laster Edwards of Woodruff; two brothers, Donald Laster of Woodruff and Jerry Laster of Waterloo; six grandchildren.
Visitation will be held tonight, Friday, May 13, 2011, from 7:00-9:00 P.M. at the Lanford Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. at the Woodruff Church of God by the Rev. Curtis Terry, Rev. James Shealy, Rev. Jason Fowler, and Rev. Buster Ball. Interment will follow in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens.
The family is at the residence.

I will always remember Larry for the brave battle he fought in recent months. But I will take great comfort in knowing that his pain and suffering have ended. He now rest peacefully with his Savior. May God grant each family member the a sense of peace and understanding that only He can provide.
