Lois Middlebrooks Obituary

Lois Rhymer Middlebrooks
UNION, SC-- Lois Rhymer Middlebrooks, 97, of 991 Monarch Highway, Union, SC, widow of Leroy Middlebrooks, died Monday, July 12, 2010 at her home.
Mrs. Middlebrooks was born in Buncombe County, NC, on May 24, 1913, a daughter of the late Zeb Rhymer and Ella Alexander Rhymer. She was retired from Milliken & Company Monarch Plant. Mrs. Middlebrooks was the oldest living member of Mon Aetna Baptist Church, where she was faithfully active in church life as long as her health permitted, and was a member of Anne Hinkle Sunday School Class.
Surviving are three daughters, Jane M. Austin and husband James, Joyce M. Vanderford and husband Charles A., all of Union, and Myra Middlebrooks of the home; a brother, Gay Rhymer and wife Virginia of Union; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2:30 PM Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Mon Aetna Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Benny Green. Burial will follow in Union Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Wednesday prior to the service at Mon Aetna Baptist Church.
The family is at the home, 991 Monarch Highway, Union.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of SC, Union Unit, 408 North Duncan Bypass, Suite 6, Union, SC 29379; or to Mon Aetna Baptist Church, 1431 Lockhart Highway, Union, SC 29379.

Please accept my deepest sympathies. I did not know this lady but my name is Linda Rhymer and I have been trying to research my family history and she could possibly have been a relative. So sorry for your loss.
