Marlene Joan Miller
KANNAPOLIS, NC-- Marlene Joan Miller Campbell, 74, of Kannapolis, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, died Monday, October 3, 2011, at Bob and Carolyn Tucker Hospice House following a period of declining health. Mrs. Campbell was born on May 20, 1937, in Endicott, NY, the daughter of the late Joseph F. and Winola Clifford Miller. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Ronald Miller.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, October 8, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Kannapolis, with Rev. Thomas E. Cabaniss officiating.
Mrs. Campbell is survived by her husband, James E. Campbell of the home and son of the late Hiram and Sarah Justice Campbell of Stamey Cove, NC; three daughters, Susan A. Campbell of Atlanta, GA; Patricia A. Simmons, of Charleston, SC, and Cindy J. Campbell, of Concord, NC; a brother, Joseph Miller (Wanda) of Los Angeles, CA; and five grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.

The graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2011, at 3:00 p.m. at Garrett Hillcrest cemetery in Waynesville, NC, by the Rev. Erma McGaha Bond.
