Michael Smith Obituary
SPARTANBURG, SC-- Michael Lee Smith of 449 Cotton Drive, passed Monday evening, February 23, 2009 at the Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of Mrs. Lillie Thomas Smith of the home. He was the son of the late Mr. Robert L. Smith and Mrs. Clara McGuinea Smith. He was a native of Cleveland, OH. He was a member of the New Prospect A.M.E. Zion Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Ms. Natasha Thomas of Spartanburg, SC; two sons, Mr. Kendrick Thomas and Mr. Anthony Thomas, both of Spartanburg, SC; two sisters, Mrs. Roberta (Charles) Littlejohn and Mrs. Robin (Michael) Tinsley, both of Spartanburg, SC; a special grand daughter, Ms. Narasha Smith of Spartanburg, SC; eight additional grandchildren.

cousin lille I am sorry for your lost i know that our cousin left this world knowing that you really did love him because you truely did honor your wedding vows to love and honor to death due you part you is a strong woman and i admire you for that. I was thinking about the 70's party we was at over Roberta it made me smile that my cousin and all of us was having a great time together. Love you see yall soon.

To my baby brother ~Michael Lee~ Words are often hard to describe feelings, yet writing down how much I love and miss you seems to give me more tranquility. Writing to let go, to give this all a place. Right now it feels that it will never heal, it will never go away, but just learning to give it time. I can tell you how much I care, how much I would give to have you back in our lives, but you know all of this and it won't change anything, that's what I am learning within time. Writing to tell you how much I have learned, to show you thru fragility I become a stronger person -more able to understand, more able to listen and to care.
