Nancy Swofford Obituary
SPARTANBURG, SC-- Nancy Harris Swofford, 84, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2015. Born July 23, 1931 in Cherokee County, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Ellen Earls Harris. She was of the Baptist faith.
Nancy was retired from Spartan Mills. She enjoyed gardening and loved her granddaughter and great granddaughter.
Survivors include her son, Dennis Swofford (Wanda) of Spartanburg; granddaughter, Holly Parris (Michael) of Cowpens; great granddaughter, Briana Parris; and brother, Roy Harris (Lib) of Spartanburg. She was predeceased by her husband, George Willis Swofford; sisters, Sara Harris and Marie Massey; and brothers, Willie 'Bud' Harris, Robert 'Bob' Harris, and James 'Jim' Harris.
Visitation will be 2:00 - 2:45 PM Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM in the chapel, conducted by the Rev. Bill Harris. Burial will follow at Daniel Morgan Memorial Gardens, 175 Cemetery Street, Cowpens, SC 29330.
