Dear Mr. Winn's family, I am so sorry for your loss. I met Ralph and Hazel at Spartanburg's Senior Citizen's social day care where my father, Curtis Cooper also attended. As Hazel and Daddy's conditions progressed they both left the center. While Hazel had a private sitter in her home I took Daddy to a medical day care. Unfortunately I lost track of the Winns. Months later Daddy had to be placed in National Health Care. Even months later I saw a new resident and her husband entering NHC. It was Hazel and Ralph! Who would have ever guessed our paths would ever cross again in Mauldin, so far from Spartanburg. My mother, Evelyn and I became friends with Ralph. She and I admired the way Ralph devotedly visited Hazel. It meant a lot that he would always shake Daddy's hand as long as Daddy was able. Ralph was a fine man. Unfortunately After Hazel passed away, I only saw him a few times at Blue Bay Restaurant. Then I never saw him again. After Daddy passed away in 2006, Mother started to need more help. Two days ago when Mother and I were on a RARE trip together to Spartanburg, when on the spur of the moment we decided to look up Ralph. After I tracked him to his last residence, I was told he no longer lived there and I couldn't be told any other information. I feared the worse. Yesterday I discovered his obituary. I regret waiting so long to visit him. Mother and I send our condolences. God bless your whole family, Deborah Burch
