Sammie Jenkins Obituary
ROEBUCK, SC-- Mr. Sammie Lee Jenkins affectionately known as "PaPa", 72 entered into eternal rest on April 24, 2014.
He was the son of the late Clarence and Mossie Casey Jenkins. He was married to the late Patricia Kelly Jenkins and reared five children in the home. Three daughters, Sheresa (Frank) Sitton, Alveta Brown, Marcia (Brian) Greene, three sons, LeShawne Jenkins, Eric (Leslie) Jenkins and Wallace Glenn, one brother-Nathaniel (Jacquelyn) Glenn, special niece and nephew of the home Kellen Staggs, and Alexis Staggs; Six grandchildren, Freddie Brown III, Kiona Smith, Kamara Nicole Sitton, Landon Jenkins, Treylen Brown, Porscha Jenkins, a great niece Gabriella Staggs; two Uncles- Boner Oree Casey and Lewis (Carol) Casey. There are numerous cousins, nieces and nephews he treasured.
Public viewing will be held 2:00 - 7:30 PM Sunday, April 27, 2014 at the W. J. Gist Memorial Chapel, Woodruff, SC.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, April 28, 2014 at Mt. Alexander Baptist Church, Road 50 Woodruff, SC. Burial will be held in the church cemetery.
The family is at the home 3590 Walnut Grove Rd, Roebuck, SC 29376.

I'm Pierce and Nellie Brown's daughter, Phyllis. I grew up knowing Sammie Lee and his mother Mossey(sp) and his grandmother, Helen and granddad, Lan and always felt like they were family. Mama Helen and Lan lived in the house I was born in and he (Sammie Lee) helped to keep it up for them. He was always respected by all of the people in Cavins and I'm sure by all the people that he ever had contact with. He will be greatly missed by his family as well as those who knew him. I've been away from Cavins for over 49 years but I've still kept up on Mama Helen and Lan's family. God bless all of you.
