CONVERSE SC-- Michael Scott Hefner, 35, of 480 River St. died Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Spartanburg Medical Center.
Born April 4, 1982 in Spartanburg he was the son of Joe Hefner and Wanda Sprouse Hefner of Converse.
Surviving in addition to his parents is his grandfather, Franklin Sprouse; aunts, Brenda Morris (Junior), Shelia Anderson (Harold), Brenda Hefner; cousins, Roger Morris, Jennifer Horton, Eric Grizzle, Steve Morris, Cindy Hefner, longtime friend, Michole Smith and seven nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by grandparents, Patricia Sprouse and Joe and Mary Hefner.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Carlisle Wesleyan Church with Rev. Mike Stepp officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
The family will be at the home of his parents, 324 Oakland St. Converse, SC.

Someone just wrote this on Facebook. Grief isn't something to accomplish or finish. It's learning to live without them for now and learning a new way of life, one where they just moved to paradise and we are just stuck on earth for a while. Scott, your body is gone but your spirit lives on with each breath that I take. I love you and miss you.
