Texas Schlock Obituary
SPARTANBURG- Texas Coleman Schlock, 88, formerly of 2106 Woodland Way, Newberry passed away Monday, November 13, 2017 at White Oak Estates.
A native of Rabun Gap, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Norman and Ruby Howard Coleman and was the widow of Arthur Augustus Schlock. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Dianne and Dr. Tom Westmoreland of Spartanburg; 4 grandchildren, Ben Westmoreland, Molly O'Dell, Christie Klessons and Scott Wilson; 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Arthur Kenneth Schlock.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel by Dr. Schuyler Peterson and Dr. Ken Harmon. Entombment will follow in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
Visitation will be held from 1:00-1:45 p.m. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Southside Baptist Church Thanksgiving Offering, 316 S. Church Street, Spartanburg, S.C. 29306.
The family is at their respective homes.
