Tommie Lee Davidson
LYMAN, SC-- Tommie Lee Jenkins Davidson, 84, of Lyman, widow of Carlos Edward Davidson, passed away after a brief illness Wednesday, October 27, 2010, at Regional Hospice Home.
She was born February 10, 1926, daughter of the late Thomas Clemy and Ella Clara Royster Jenkins. She graduated from Parker High School in Greenville, SC. Mrs. Davidson was employed by Myers Arnold, Reigal Textile Corp. and Insurance Company of Ware Shoals, Cox Wood Company of Fairforest, Insurance Agency of Greer and retired from The Lighting Center of Greer.
Surviving are two sons, Bruce Davidson and wife Donna of Duncan and Carlos Edward (Ed) Davidson, Jr. of Spartanburg; a brother, Clifford Ray Jenkins of Mauldin; a sister, Martha Elizabeth Hughes of Ft. Inn; one grandson, Matthew Davidson at Clemson University; one granddaughter, Amanda Cothran of Duncan; and one great-grandchild, Owen Cothran.
Mrs. Davidson was predeceased by two sisters, Sara Jenkins Riddle and Emily Rebecca Jenkins Wiggs; and three brothers, Claude Pat Jenkins, Denver Clemey Jenkins, and Marion Parker Jenkins.
Mrs. Davidson was a member of Duncan First Baptist Church for 47 years and the Eastern Star.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Monday, November 1, 2010, at Duncan First Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Lamar McAbee. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held 3:00 until 4:00 PM Monday, November 1, 2010, at the church.
Pallbearers will be N. Dean Davidson, Eugene Davidson, Mike Davidson, Matthew Davidson, Mack Jenkins, Andy Jenkins, Ronnie Jenkins, Denny Jenkins and Mike Jenkins.
The families are at their respective homes.
Honorary escort will be the Willing Workers Sunday School class.
