Buddy Banks
MOORE, SC-- Winfred Hoy "Buddy" Banks Jr., 69, of 103 Saluda Court died Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System.
A native Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late Winfred Hoy Banks Sr. and Ida Mae Smith Banks. He was a former machine operator with Firestone in Spartanburg and was a U.S. Army Veteran having been stationed in Germany.
Surviving are his wife; Tammy Tucker Banks of the home; one son, Winfred Dale Banks III of Columbia; five daughters, Jacqueline Nicole Banks of Myrtle Beach, Tina Scott, Kayla Tollison, Amy Tollison, and Sonya Junge, all of Woodruff; one brother, Alton Earl Banks of Spartanburg; one sister, Claudia Richardson of Spartanburg; five grandchildren, Caden Watts, Jailyn Diaz, Tianna Diaz, Heather Scott and Taylor Junge.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 12, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Lanford Funeral Home Chapel in Woodruff. Interment will follow in Heritage Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 12:30-1:45 PM Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family is at their respective homes.
