HATFIELD – Otto William Embry Sr., 73, of Hatfield, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro, Ky.
Otto was born in Ohio County, Ky., on Feb. 13, 1943, to the late Clinton L. and Lissie (Lindsey) Embry.
Otto had worked for Darrell Whiting and retired from Roofer's Local 106. Otto loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed shooting matches, fishing, gardening, NASCAR, and his dog, Hopper Jack.
He was preceded in death by his son, Keith Wayne Embry; siblings, Damon Embry, Orville Embry, Pauline Holland, Eva Bratcher, Harvey Embry, Betty Burden, Lura Wilson, George Ray Embry, Thomas Embry.
Otto is survived by his wife, Beverly Ann Embry; children, Patricia Everett, Otto "Bo" (Suzi) Embry Jr., Kelly Embry, Debra (Kevin) Flamion, Edward Embry, David (Jennifer) Embry; granddaughter whom he raised, Samantha Moore; grandchildren, Christina Kalin, Michael Everett Jr., Bradley Stotlar, Heather McGee, Holli Embry, Kayla Embry, Keith Cecil, Brian T. Cecil, Aaron Cecil, Thomas Short, Dustin Embry, Raven Embry, Devin Embry, Kassie Jo Wiley, Kyle Embry, Kynzie Embry, Shane Flamion, Kesha Gelarden, Latasha Calderon; 23 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Bazil (Mary) Embry; Lonnie (Faith) Embry.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday, June 4, at the Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, Indiana with Rev. Ernest G. Whitley officiating. Burial is in James Parker Cemetery in Hatfield.
Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, June 3, and from 8 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
