Shelby Adams Obituary
Shelby was born on March 16, 1940, in Grandview to the late Joe and Ada (Bennett) Pierce.
Shelby was a graduate of Rockport High School and Deaconess Nursing School. She was a member of the Rockport Church of the Nazarene. Shelby enjoyed fishing, spending time with her family, and doing yard work. She was always proud of her yard.
Shelby was preceded in death by her stepson, James Darryl Adams; granddaughter, Krystal Lynn.
Shelby is survived by her husband, Wandel "Bud" Adams, whom she married on December 30, 1994; sons Tom Gunn and his wife, Chris, of Rockport, Scott Gunn and his wife, Kelly of Hawesville; stepson Dale Ray Adams and his wife, Martha, of Rockport; daughters Julie Blissett and her husband, Kenny, of Rockport, Teresa Gunn of Rockport; stepdaughters Sherry Barnhart of Little Rock, AR, Shelly Cooper and her husband, Paul, of Dale; 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great- grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Rockport Church of the Nazarene with Pastors Brett Cieslack and Steve Mead officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until service time at the church. Burial will take place at a later date.
