Paul Gray Obituary

Paul E. Gray, 66, of Bowling Green, entered into rest Saturday, June 9, 2018, at The U. K. Medical Center in Lexington. Paul was born April 20, 1952, in Shelby Co. He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Sarah Gray.

Paul was a physical therapist by trade and a photographer by choice. He loved meeting and working with patients throughout his career as a therapist. However, Paul's passion was capturing precious moments of people all around the Bowling Green and greater Kentucky community with his photography. He particularly enjoyed photographing sporting events and sharing his photos with the athletes.

Paul will be remembered for his outgoing personality, love of people, and giving nature. He attended Western Kentucky University, where he was the men's basketball manager in the 70s. He later transferred to the University of Kentucky to attend Physical Therapy school.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Rox'Anne Thompson Gray; daughter, Katie Gray; brother, Kenneth Gray of Georgetown; nephew, Jason Gray of Georgetown; niece, Allison Gray Stone (Jacob) of Lexington; along with their children Abby and Ben Stone.

Funeral services were held Friday, June 15 at noon at Bowling Green High School arena. Visitation hours were on Thursday, June 14 from noon until 8 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. until time of services at BGHS arena. Burial was at Fairview Cemetery No. 2.

Paul was great guy who loved playing sports and watching sporting events, he was a good friend to all who played by taking pictures of them and giving them the pictures later. Paul was always in a good mood and smiling. I will miss him.

Paul was a true friend of student-athletes in the Bowling Green Area, taking their pictures and than giving the pictures to them for free. A great guy.
