Alice LITTLEFIELD Obituary

Alice Sylvia Littlefield passed away on January 3, 2022, with her daughter Roberta by her side. She was born in Los Angeles on August 26, 1929, to Lazarus and Ethyl Leibiwitz. She had 3 siblings Edith, Dale & Lynda. She and Edith were close in age and had a deep love for one another.

Alice was left to raise 4 children on her own, Patricia, Steven, Roberta & John. She went back to school to sharpen her skills so she could prepare to re-enter the workforce to support her children. She landed a job as a secretary at Rockwell Corp. (where she met her future husband). As difficult as things were, she managed to take her 4 children out to dinner a couple of times a month. She attended all their extracurricular activities and even umpired a game or two. Alice and Edith remained close and had a secret language they called "G Talk" and spoke it in front of their children when they didn't want them to know who or what they were talking about.

Alice married Buck Littlefield in 1970 after a 3-year courtship. In 1974 they, along with youngest child John, moved to Deer Park, WA. She got a part-time job waitressing at Mary's Café where she met Dixie, her dearest and most trusted friend. Alice sold Avon (in CA and WA) and was successful at it as much as she loved it. She worked and bowled at the Deer Park bowling alley where she helped set up the junior league and taught many kids to bowl.

Alice moved to Spokane after Buck passed away in 2013. She lived independently in a retirement community where she made many friends and assisted in welcoming new residents.

Alice wound up with 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. And she had many nieces and nephews.

Her sense of humor was one of her many endearing qualities. She loved her numerous pets, especially Misty and Penny. Alice had a full life traveling, camping, gardening, and watching the Zags. She was game for anything at least once. It must be mentioned she made fantastic fried chicken, beef stew & potato salad. Alice loved to feed people!

Alice will be dearly missed, so let's wish her well on her new journey. xoxo
