Andrea SORENSEN Obituary
Andrea Nicole Sorensen, 21, left us in order to greet her Lord on November 11, 2021. A beloved daughter of the King, a blast of sunshine, a bright golden thread wrapped around our hearts. Everyone who met her, loved her. She gave her heart deeply to each soul in her path. Whether you needed a hug, to dance, to laugh so hard you couldn't breathe, or to weep so long your back ached, she was completely present with you giving her very all.
Andrea was born on January 14, 2000, in Wenatchee, WA. She graduated in 2018 from Cascade High School and went on to Whitworth University after brightening the days of all who walked near her. She loved softball, dogs, cheer, singing, hunting, dancing, fishing, horseback riding, shepherd's pie, and everything lime green. When she sang, hearts lifted. When she danced, you couldn't help but dance, too.
Whether working, hanging out with her friends and family, or volunteering her time, Andrea spent her whole heart on every task. She was involved with her church, Leavenworth Young Life, and Camas Meadows Bible Camp. She brought joy to so many, pointed the way to Jesus, and used laughter and fun to help bring healing to hurting hearts.
When she was little, before she could even sing, Andrea danced through the church isles, praising her Lord. She is dancing with Jesus now. While she lost her recent battle with mental illness, she did not lose the war. Andrea knew full well that none of the broken things of this world could nullify the strength and power of her Lord and advocate. She was always the first to tell you that her victory was in Jesus.
Andrea leaves behind her grandparents Dave & Jane Lane, Sherry Lane, and Al & Ruth Sorensen, parents Rob and Carrie Sorensen, brothers David and Michael Sorensen and their spouses Cassidy and Kaylee, the Sorensen Clan, Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, and an entire community.
A private, family service was held November 19, 2021, in Spokane.
Her favorite hymn was, "Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing," by Robert Robinson.
Her favorite verse was Luke 9:24-"For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it."
Come Thou fount of every blessing Tune my heart to sing Thy grace Streams of mercy never ceasing Call for songs of loudest praise
Teach me some melodious sonnet Sung by flaming tongues above Praise the mount, I'm fixed upon it Mount of Thy redeeming love
Here I raise my Ebenezer Here by Thy great help I've come, And I hope by Thy good pleasure Safely to arrive at home
Jesus sought me when a stranger Wandering from the fold of God He to rescue me from danger Interposed His precious blood.
