Barbara Jean WEISE

Barbara Jean Weise was born on December 31, 1940, in Twin Falls, Idaho, to Mark and Mary Martin. On October 11, 2025, she peacefully went to be with the Lord.

In 1957, Barbara married her one and only love, Don Weise. Together, they began their family in 1959, eventually raising four children. In 1969, they made Spokane their permanent home, where they built a life filled with love, hard work, and community. Barbara and Don owned and operated an upholstery business until 1985, after which they opened Weise's Bar & Grill, a beloved local spot, which Barbara ran until her retirement in 2008.

Barbara was a devoted grandmother who rarely missed a sporting event. She was an avid fan of Gonzaga Bulldogs basketball and the Seattle Seahawks. She also loved playing poker and pinochle with family and friends-games she was known to be quite skilled at. Holidays and birthdays were always celebrated at her home, a cherished tradition that brought everyone together.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Don; her parents, Mark and Mary Martin; her brothers Jim and Joe Martin; and her sister Sally Cooper Seiler.

She is survived by her children: Mary, Shelly (Mike), DJ (Tatyana), and Robin (Sandy); her grandchildren: Brittany, Chris, Cole, Luke (Sapphira), and Mary; and her great-grandchildren: Lincoln, Brooklyn, and Kingston. She is also survived by her siblings: Bill, Jack (Patty), Larry, Tom, and Darlene Bowers (Claire); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to her niece Laurie Posey and her nephew Pastor Vince Martin for their love and support.

Barbara will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for her warmth, strength, and the joy she brought to all who knew her.
