I met my uncle Cal and Evonne at our family reunion in 1980. I worked for Cal for a while in 1980. It is hard to believe Cal is gone. He was bigger than life. I was always proud to tell people about my uncle from Spokane in the drywall business. We spent a couple days together at christmas a few years ago. I am happy to have those memories. My sympathy to Evonne and his family.

Cal Edwards helped me to learn how to work hard; I'm sorry that your family has to deal with such a tragic loss. May God comfort you all.

Dear Evonne,
Our deepest sympahty goes out to you and your entire family.
Cal was a dear man and a real friend.
When Cal and I would pen together, him being the "Pro" and me the "Novice" he would always encourage me even when I would mess up (sometimes a little gruff but with a twinkle in his eye and a warm heart). One of the nicest things Cal did for me was when he sold me 'Skipper'. He said he was the perfect horse for me and he was right.
With much Love and respect,
Carol and Dick Baycroft

Our deepest sympathy goes out to Cal's family, friends, fellow sorters and penners. Cal, we enjoyed sorting with and against you over the years. We had great times in Spokane and St. Regis and will miss you greatly. If Jesus hasn't learned how to ride and sort yet, I'm sure he will soon with your help. God Bless...

Dear Evonne and your entire family, I am so, so sorry to hear of Cal's accident! He was a wonderful man and I know he loved you so Evonne! It is at the front of my memory him calling to check on you often when he was unable to be with you at the river house. May your many memories comfort you through this difficult time. With love and caring, Stacey

The right words are hard to find when a special person has to say good-bye to his friends and family. Let the many wonderful memories of Cal help heal the pain in your heart. One of our fondest memories is of a New Years Eve riding bareback in the snow at midnight.
Take special care, Evonne -- Bob & Kathie Neu

HIS JOURNEY'S JUST BEGUN
Let me tell you folks
who have gathered here today
that I'm a proud and thankful cowboy
who has just passed away.
I know it's hard
but please don't cry
for I'm now riding God's trails
high up in the sky.
Don't think of me as gone away
my journey's just begun
life holds so many facets
this earth is only one.
I have lived a good life
a cowboys dream come true.
Thank you Lord
for now I'm ready to ride
into eternity me, my horse and you.
In loving memory of Uncle Cal
