Carol BARKER Obituary
Spokane - Carol Jean Barker, 94, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2025, at Vineyard Park at South Hill. Born in Kirkland, WA, to Florence and Orval Higginbotham, she grew up in Bothell. While working in Seattle, she met her husband, Alexander Vasey Barker. They married in 1952 and were together for 46 years until his passing in 1999, raising four children between the U.S. and Canada.
She is survived by her sister, Margie; children, Bruce, Brenda, Cindy, and Chris; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alex; her parents, Florence and Orval; and her brother, Donald.
A memorial service will be held Friday, November 14, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., at Hazen & Jaeger Valley Funeral Home in Spokane. Burial will follow in the spring at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills in Lynnwood, WA.
Flowers may be sent to Hazen & Jaeger Valley Funeral Home. Donations may also be made to the Alzheimer's Society at www.alz.org.

Carol was an absolute Angel one of the nicest and sweetest ladies I´ve ever known, I was privileged to to have her as my mother in law for 5 years! May she rest in peace and enjoy her new life with our lord Jesus Christ. Thank you Carol for all the memories and May God bless you!!
