Carol MOE Obituary

Carol Jean Moe (Johnson) passed away on January 29, 2023. Carol was born in Spokane on July 5, 1926, to Harry and Ethel Johnson. She attended Willard Elementary School and graduated from North Central High. She worked at J.C. Penny after school and on weekends. After graduation, she worked in the office of Caplin Park Housing, where she met her future husband. She married Wesley H. Moe on August 31, 1947. They had two children, James and Carolyn. Carol was a homemaker until 1967 when she worked as a noon aide, and then secretary at Linwood Elementary School. Her hobbies were gardening, oil painting, and needlepoint.

Carol was preceded in death by her son James in 2002. Carol and Wes were married for over 55 years. Wes passed away in 2003. Carol's sister, Lois Kiilsgaard, passed away in 2014.

Carol is survived by her daughter Carolyn Miotke and son-in-law Michael Miotke; daughter-in-law Linda Moe; 5 grandchildren Kelly Carbary, Jody Ibanez, Amy Roberts, April Lamberd, and Jeff Moe; 8 great-grandchildren Justin Carbary, Rachel Carbary, Parker Lamberd, Mason Severson, Vanessa Ibanez, Mia Ibanez, Turner Moe, and Kinsley Moe.

A celebration of Carol's life will be at Heritage Funeral Home on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at 1 PM, all are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, please give to your favorite charity.

I love this photo of you Mom! My heart breaks for your loss but I have a feeling she and my Grandma are baking together now. So glad we were able to stop in and have coffee to catch up with your Mom in October. Hugs for you and Mike- I know this must have been a hard month.
