Clyde J.
Passed away on April 8, 2011 in Spokane, WA. Born in Buhl, Idaho on June 20, 1922 to John and Cordie McKenzie. Married to Louise on March 29, 1946. The family moved to Spokane in 1956. Clyde was proud of his Service to his Country in the U.S. Navy and Secret Service, and his career as a mechanic and business owner. His passion was music; he played guitar, piano, saxophone, and he sang and played in many bands and at many events in Spokane and Idaho. He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kami Lynn, and his parents, two brothers and three brothers-in-law. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Louise; and his six children: David McKenzie, Jon McKenzie (Lynn), Bonnie Crockett (Joe), Margie Impecoven (Kim), Scott McKenzie, and Edi Dirkes (Bryon); as well as nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and his sisters and brothers-in-law. A celebration of life will be held April 13, 2011, at 11:00am at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, corner of Wellesley and Regal, Spokane, WA, followed by a lunch gathering. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery. Cremation and inurnment will follow in a family ceremony at Pines Cemetery at a later date.
