Coby BRANTING Obituary

BRANTING, Coby L.

Coby L. Branting, age 64 of Spokane WA., died suddenly on September 19, 2017. Coby was born in Spokane on August 18, 1953 to Bill Miller and Connie Chapman. Coby graduated from Roger's High School in 1971. She married Daniel Rogotzke in 1973. Coby went to college for nursing in Brownfield, Texas and received her LPN. She and Dan divorced and she moved back to Spokane, where she worked as a nurse until she retired at age 60. In 1980, she married Larry R. Branting. They were married for 34 years until she was widowed after Larry succumbed to a long battle with cancer. Coby is painfully survived in death by her mother Connie; her mothers-in-law: Mary Branting and Jan Branting; her brother Kevin Miller; brother-in-law Jason Branting; his wife Holly; Steven Branting; Darin Branting and his wife Lindsay; sister-in-law Paula Barr; children: daughters; Meribeth, Shana, her husband Mark; her two sons: Ryan and Clinton; several grandchildren: Maizy, Payten, Aiden, Ben, Grace, Joseph, Kaelah, Shawnee and one great-great-grandchild, Michael. Not to be forgotten: all of the uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews from the Miller's side, the Branting side and all of the "chosen family" which included every single person she ever knew and loved.
Coby was Sunshine. To know her was to love her. She always had a smile on her face even through hardships. She exuded love and joy. She loved reading, gardening, crafts, cooking for her family and friends. She was a very warm, giving, loving soul and this showed through in her many years of nursing. She loved traveling the world and loved diving in these places with her husband Larry. She loved her family very much. She was always willing to do anything for her family or anyone who ever had a hardship in life. When she retired she also volunteered at homeless shelters reaching out to people that needed her. She also loved going to the casino with her mom, Connie, her family and friends ... and she always seemed to win big!
She had the best hugs and a way of always soothing you. She has passed these traits down to her children. We hope to make her proud. She will be painstakingly missed. We hope that you will rejoice in helping us celebrate her life and her passing on October 21st at 2pm at the Open Bible Intersection Church, 905 N. McDonald Road, Spokane Valley, WA. 99216.

Coby was a wonderful sister-in-law, wife to my brother Larry and a great mother to her three children. I am saddened by her death but she is now in heaven with Larry and the Lord.

I am deeply sadden by the loss of such a beautiful person who was a friend to anyone and everyone. Her smile was infections you couldn't help but smile back. I spent a lot of time with Coby she always gave me good advice. She was too young to leave this world and I will miss her even though I haven't seen her in years because of facing my own demons she will always forever be in by heart. RIP Beautiful Coby.
