Daniel HANSEN Obituary
Due to several family members living out of town, we held a private memorial service at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery on October 27th.
Dan was stationed with the Navy in Guam, then returned to Spokane to marry Rita Hilby in January 1969, and moved to Nicosia, Cyprus. Dan was a communications specialist and used his discharge to travel through Europe before returning to Spokane. He continued his education, graduating from Eastern Washington University, and then attended Central Washington State College.
His life touched many who grew to know him as an honest, trustworthy, and compassionate man, as well as a loving husband.
Throughout Dan's illness, several loved ones and friends showed immense unwavering support, never leaving Dan on the front lines to fight his battle of cancer in solitude.
We thank you for the support he was given.
