Dean MOHLER Obituary

October 8, 1924 - September 17, 2025

Spokane - Dean Mohler, loving husband of Joyce (64 years), exceptional father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully at home on September 17, 2025. Dean is loved and missed by his children, David Mohler, Judy Wilcox, Daniel Mohler, Janet Williams, and Jeanie Spiering; and his 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dean was born in Eddyville, Nebraska, and spent his youth in York, Nebraska. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II as a master mechanic. After the war, he moved to Spokane, Washington, and attended Watchmaking School.

He was a watchmaker and Credit Manager at Mandell's Jewelers for over 40 years. He was also an amateur inventor, gardener, golfer, artist and loved to square dance. He was known for his great sense of humor and wry wit. In his 90s, he enjoyed reading, exercising, watching sports, including golf, baseball (Mariners), and basketball (Gonzaga). He also loved time with family playing cards (pinochle). He was a master puzzler. He was a kind, generous father and esteemed by his many friends and colleagues. He always quipped that he was lucky. Those who knew him were lucky and blessed. He will be remembered and missed dearly.
