Delbert H.
Delbert Triber Sr. passed away peacefully March 19, 2017 at the age of 87. He was born February 21, 1930 to Arthur and Aletta Triber who moved the family from Bismarck N.D. to Spokane Valley, WA in 1947. Del is preceded in death by both parents, Lawrence (brother), Darrell (brother), and Levina Lebahn (sister). Surviving siblings are Darlene Evans and Arthur (Archie). Del graduated from Central Valley High School in Spokane Valley, WA and enlisted in the Air Force during the Korean War, he served in Alaska during his tour of duty. Del married Joan Platt in 1953 and had three children, Del Jr., Gregory (Laura) and Julie (Jerry Kelleher); Del also had three grandchildren: Melissa, Joshua and Travis. Del moved to Calexico, CA in 1965 where he opened and operated Triber's Aircraft until he retired. In 2010 he suffered a debilitating stroke and spent the rest of his days at Balboa Nursing Home in San Diego, CA where he received the best of care. Del had a full life and cherished his many friendships along the way. During his life he enjoyed skydiving, camping, boating, waterskiing, scuba diving, flying, RC flying and riding his motorcycle across the country. Other achievements include: Promoting Civil Air Patrol, Diving Search/Rescue & Recovery, Certified A&P, Skydiving Instructor, Crop Duster.
