Dennis Koerner Obituary
KOERNER, Dennis G.
Passed away at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center on January 17, 2011 due to complications from lung cancer. Dennis was born on January 30, 1937 in Addy, WA to Eugene O. Koerner and Mayme O. Koerner (Salvage). Dennis graduated from North Central High School in 1957 and entered the United States Army upon graduation. Dennis was preceded in death by his mother and father; sister, Deanna DeDe; and son, Layne Koerner. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Scott Elaine; sons, Tharen Koerner, Spokane; Adam Tichey (Keri), Cheney; Todd Tichey (Andrea), Spokane; daughter, Julie Hale (Christopher), Spokane; grandchildren, Aspen Tichey, Kristyana Hale, Tyler and Olivia Tichey, Angela Davies, Alex Kern, and LayTonya Lee. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at SPOKANE CREMATION and FUNERAL SERVICE, 2832 N. Ruby, Spokane, WA 99207 for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center Foundation or Providence Holy Hospital Foundation, Box 2555, Spokane, WA 99220-2555, please specify which foundation.
