Dennis SCHMAUCH

Dennis M. Schmauch, age 81, passed away on May 11 after a long fight with congestive heart failure and COPD. Dennis was born in Dillon, Montana, on July 25, 1942 and moved to Spokane after he served two years active duty in the army. He joined the army reserve while working on a degree in Computer Science from EWU. He eventually took a position as a computer operator for the Air Guard. Dennis was an avid marksman who competed in rifle and pistol matches in many states for many years. Dennis also managed the rifle and pistol teams for the Air Guard and the Army Reserves in Spokane. He also taught small arms shooting to both of these groups and occasionally worked with the Spokane Police to teach them proper shooting techniques. He leaves behind a brother and family: Gary, Gus, Kari and Brett; a son, Andy and family: Becky, Vance, and Adrian; and cousins across the states.

As per his wishes, there will not be a service.
