With heavy hearts we share that our hero with a heart of gold Dylan, passed away suddenly on February 11, 2026, while attempting to rescue someone from a burning house. Dylan leaves behind many cherished memories and his best canine friend, Summer.
Dylan was born in Pontiac Michigan, and moved to Hunters Washington in 2005.
A 2023 graduate of Columbia High School in Hunters, WA, Dylan excelled in Track, played Football and Basketball, and was a member of the school's band horn section. He found great joy in nature-whether he was hiking, kayaking, fishing, camping, or sharing jokes around a campfire on the Columbia River. Music was his passion; he was constantly listening to, playing, or creating his own. Known for his incredible sense of humor, Dylan had a unique gift for making people laugh, even in the most unexpected moments. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Dylan is survived by: Parents: Cody and Stacey Young of Airway Heights, WA; Adoptive Parents: Michael and Amber Young of Hunters, WA; Brothers: Trey Young United States Air Force, Fairbanks, AK and Justin Young Spokane, WA; Sisters: Leeya Young Hunters, WA, Christina (Matt) Mehnert Waterford, MI, and Nicole Wood Hunters, WA; Step Sisters, Kenna and Saleena Kelly, Spokane, WA; Girlfriend: Kaylee Seyler, Spokane West End, WA.
Proceeded in death by Great Grandparents Ernest and Bernice Latimer of Waterford, Mi; Henry and Lena Young of Sweetwater, Tenn; Brother, Michael L. Young Jr. of Wichita Falls, Tx.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. There will be a memorial service for Dylan on Sunday March 1st at 12:30 at Cedonia Community Church, Cedonia, WA.
