Edward STRANG Obituary

Edward Strang, age 87, of Spokane passed away on October 26, 2021. Ed was born on August 3, 1934, in Colman, SD, to parents George and Ruth. He received his GED and then in 1953, he joined the US Air Force where he served as an aircraft mechanic. He retired in 1973 and went on to serve 24 years with the railroad. Ed married Ruth in 1959 and the couple had four children together. He was a devoted family man and was deeply committed to raising his family in the ways of the Lord. Ed enjoyed family events, coffee and dominos with friends, and watching the weather channel. His family and friends will always remember him as kind, caring and compassionate. Ed is survived by his wife Ruth of 62 years; his children Dan (Sue), Mark, Bonnie (Rob) and Gail (Brent); and his brothers Dan, Vern and Donnie; his 24 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Frank and Pat. A military graveside service will occur Monday, November 1, 2021, 11:15 am, at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery, 21702 W. Espanola Rd., Medical Lake, WA 99022. The family would like to thank Horizon Hospice for taking excellent care of Ed. Online condolences may be expressed at Thornhillvalley.com.
