Edwina and George were great neighbors growing up. Edwina was one of mom's best friends. They would talk almost every day on the party line. Edwina would help shuttle us to and from swim lessons or Bible school. I remember how much fun it was to fish tail in the gravel when mom or Edwina went too fast. They never saw the fun of it. Edwina was always there when the Riehle Family needed something, like water when the well quit or that one ingredient that mom did not have cooking dinner. Thanks Edwina, Rich and Kay Riehle

So very sorry, your Mom was a special lady and she and Mom were close for many many years. We lost Mom November 12 and I had a dream last night she was dancing. May GOD wrap HIS arms around you with love, comfort and peace.

Dear Susan and Roberta and families: My heart just dropped when I saw your letter in the mail today. I just knew it is a letter bearing news I didn't want to hear. What a legacy your wonderful mother left. A good and gentle soul with a kind word for good measure thrown in. What an honor it has been to correspond with her over the years. Please accept our condolences as you cherish her memory.

Edwinda was one of the kindest people that I have known in my life. She was sincerely interested in others and was an encouraging force in the lives of those lucky enough to have known her. She will always be remembered by me as a gentle and loving spirit.

How much I didn't know about your mother! A wonderful description of a life well lived. In my mind she will always be the perfectly coiffed woman in a dress standing at the counter of the Davenport Times, turning in her mother's Rocklyn News.
