Elbert ANDERS Obituary

Elbert Claude Anders was born in Spokane Washington on February 23, 1937 to Rita and Elbert Anders. He passed away on January 28, 2022, in Kennewick, Washington, where he lived with his three daughters. Al graduated from Lewis and Clark High School in 1955. He started a family and went on to work with a successful career at URM Foods where he retired after 40 years with an abundance of lifelong friends. Al was very involved in Slow pitch starting the first game of Snowshoe Soft ball in Priest Lake Idaho. He also played on Spokane Leagues where he went on to coach his two sons John and Brad along with many of their friends. He enjoyed fishing, barbequing, playing cards, karaokeing alongside his friends and family. His love for music and dance would take him to venues of his favorite local entertainer Sammy Eubanks. He loved the Blues. Al was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Anders, sister, Pat Torngren, step-daughter, Becky Corigliano, and his grandchild, Annie Bernadette Crites. He is survived by his children, George, John, Janet Jackie, and Julie, and his stepchildren Brad, Brenda ,Barry and Brian. Also, he had 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren! A celebration of life will be held at Heritage Funeral Home, 508 N Government Way, Spokane Washington on February 24, 2022 at 11:00 AM.
