Frances LUDEN Obituary

Spokane Valley - Frances Fae (Moulton) Luden passed away on July 1, 2023, after a rich and wonderful life. She was born in Palouse, Washington, on May 15, 1927, and was raised by Madia and Rial Moulton in Rockford, Washington. Growing up on a farm, she loved trips to town, fashion, and dances and went on to be valedictorian of her class. Frances married Virgil Luden in 1947 and together they raised four children, Susan, Kathy, John, and Cliff in Veradale, Washington. Frances valued her family and great extended family above all and was happiest in a house surrounded by loved ones and full of laughter. She was the quintessential grandmother and was a magical source of love and support to all her family, especially her seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. She loved her home on Progress Road which was a source of many happy memories and took great pride in her garden full of flowers and raspberry patch. Frances worked for over two decades at the Spokane Valley Elks where was a valued fixture of the community. Frances will forever be remembered in our hearts for her love, warmth, and sparkle and the gift she was in our lives. Graveside services will be held July 11 at 1:00 pm at Pines Cemetery with a reception following. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
