Helen SHOTWELL Obituary

Passed away On April 19, 2025, at her home in Reardan, WA. She was born on September 17, 1928, to John and Rosa Kaszycki in Northhampton, PA. In 1954, she married James Shotwell in Maryland, and they moved west to Washington state. Helen worked at Washington Water Power (Avista) and later for Washington Trust Bank where she retired.

Working in the downtown area, when asked by someone on the street for "help" she would take them to a nearby fast-food place make sure they got some food to eat. She never passed by a "Red Kettle" at Christmas without dropping in a donation.

Helen is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Dan) Greany and Suzanne (Jerry) Schulz, along with six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim in 1977, and brother, Michael Kaszycki in 1996.
