Helen worked in retail at the Base Exchange, Woolworth's, and Newberry's after moving to Fairchild Air Force Base in 1968 and then settling in Spokane in 1972. She was dedicated to her family and provided endless love and support to her children, grandchildren, and great–grandchildren.

Helen was sweet, selfless, nurturing, caring, and kind. She was always putting others before herself. She was incredibly proud of all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She especially enjoyed watching the kids play sports and participate in other activities. Helen will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Spokane Veterans Home for the love and care they provided Helen in her final years. She was laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery, Spokane, WA.
