Born December 14, 1902 in Canton, China, passed away May 23, 2011 in Seattle, WA. Preceded in death by her husband On Kee Eng in 1976, son Harry Eng and stepson Edward Eng. Survived by daughters Edith Huey, Margaret Hsu and sons William "Bill" Eng, Lawrence Eng, Norman Eng and Ronald Eng, 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. She arrived with her husband to Seattle in 1921 and made their home in Spokane. In their retirement years they spent summers in Palo Alto and San Jose, California, Honolulu, Hawaii and Portland, Oregon visiting with her grandchildren and families. She entered Kin On Health Care Center in 1996 where she spent the remainder of her life among Chinese speaking staff and residents. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel at Fairmount Memorial Park, Saturday, September 10, at 10:00 a.m. in Spokane. A private family interment of the ashes will follow the service. Remembrances can be sent to Salem Lutheran Church, 1428 W. Broadway, Spokane, WA 99210 or Kin On Health Care Center, 4416 S. Brandon St., Seattle, WA 98118.

My father, On was good friends with Hue Shee Eng’s family. I remember her cheerful smile since I was a child. My mom, Elizabeth and I will miss her. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
