Our hearts are so heavy with hearing of the passing of Hugh. He was a great man and we all know why. Its not just because of what he did 56 years ago, its what he accomplished in the past 56 years and in the 90 years of his life. Dan Keenan is the results of those accomplishments. Hugh gave up his US Navy career to adopt a korean orphan in 1953. The result of that decision reulted in the final career path that he chose.
I will let the members of the USS Point Cruz CVE119 Association know of his passing and please accept my deepest condolences. He will be missed but take comfort in knowing that Heaven is BRIGHTER and RICHER today because of your dad.
We are all richer because we knew him.
Take Care and May GOD Bless us all.
