James ERLANDSEN Obituary

ERLANDSEN, James F. July 31, 1943 March 31, 2021 James (Jim) was born July 31, 1943 to Forest and Jane Erlandsen in Bremerton WA. He lived in Bremerton until he joined the Airforce in 1961. The Air Force took him to Tuscon AZ where he attended the University of Arizona. He graduated with a bachelor's in accounting and went on to receive his CPA designation. He practiced Accounting for several years before moving to Spokane to join Batty Erlandsen and Associates as a partner in 1980. This is where he found the love of his life Shirley, they married in 1992. Jim retired from Batty Erlandsen & Assoc in 2018. You would often find him on the sidelines of the soccer pitch, piano recitals, and traveling-always with his family. Jim had three children, Rebecca, Tim (Nancy), Jennifer (Anthony), and 9 grandchildren. Jim was preceded in death by his parents Forest and Jane, and his wife Shirley. Private graveside services will be held. Online tributes can be made at www.holycrossofspokane.org.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Jim Erlandsen was a great friend to many in the Spokane business community. Through Batty Erlandsen & Associates, he consulted our company for over 37 years. A trusted and valued advisor, a dear friend to so many of us. Jim will be sorely missed. Rest in Peace, Jim. We pray for you and your family. ,
