James HALLAM

HALLAM, James Oct 14, 1947 - Oct 27, 2025 James "Jim" Hallam, age 78, died peacefully on October 27, 2025. He was born in October 1947 to Helen and Gene Hallam in Everett, Washington. He graduated from Cascade High School in 1965 and joined the U.S. Air Force of that year and served for four years in California, Texas, and Thailand. Jim taught at Spokane Community College in the Electronics Department and at Spokane Falls Community College in the Math Department until his retirement. He is survived by Sandy, his wife of 56 years; his four children: Aletha (Dave), Meghan (Andrew), Sumitra (Jon) and Ian; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his brother, Glen (Martha); and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law, brothers-in-law, and his precious foster baby, Manuela. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at Hamblen Park Presbyterian Church, Spokane. Jim's favorite attire was Hawaiian shirts, jeans and Birkenstocks, so please feel free to dress down accordingly. The family would like to thank the entire staff of Hospice House of Spokane, for their compassionate care of Jim in his final days and for their deep kindness to us.
