"Jan"
Jan Burgess brightened the lives of her family and friends for 56 years before leaving us too soon on June 14, 2012. She passed peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loving family. Jan was born December 13, 1955 in Crookston, Minnesota to Curt and Beatrice Kramer. She graduated from Centennial High School in Circle Pines, Minnesota in 1974. She married Keith Burgess on August 26, 1983 and moved to Spokane, Washington with Keith and her daughters in 1984. Jan worked at Spokane Valley ENT for the previous 12 years, where she had many dear friends who helped make her final months happier. Jan's life was devoted to her family. There is nothing she loved more than planning a holiday dinner or shopping for that perfect birthday gift for her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, dreaming up countless home improvement projects for her loving "handyman husband" and caring for her pets. Above all else, Jan loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Because of this, her grandchildren's fondest memories of her will always include sharing a coloring book, jumping on the trampoline and playing games with their Grandma Meme. She will be missed by all those whose lives she has touched. Jan was preceded in death by her parents Beatrice and Curtis Kramer and her brother, Randy Kramer. She is survived by her husband Keith Burgess, two sisters Tera Burr and Brenda Jacobs, two brothers Gary Kramer and Dean Kramer, four daughters TraeLynn Pirner, Mandy Enevold, Amy Jo Wright, and Dionne Ables, and ten loving grandchildren who will dearly miss their Grandma Meme. The family greatly appreciates all the support and caring from the staff of Hospice of Spokane. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, June 22, 2012 at 11 A.M. at Opportunity Christian Fellowship, 1313 S Pines Rd. Spokane Valley, WA 99216. Remembrances may be made to The Cancer Care Northwest Foundation.

You went out there and showed the world how special you are. You are a true gift to life. And I will always remember how much life and love you gave to everyone who knew you. I know that we never really lose the people we love; they live the rest of our lives with us in our heart. And you will always be in my heart. Words fall short of expressing my sorrow. I thought of you often, remembering working with you, the way you lit up when your daughters or husband would come by work. I don't know of anyone else who loved really loved their family like you did and it showed.You were a loyal friend and co worker, I missed you when I left, but enjoyed seeing you out on your walks with Keith.
