Jeffery Williams Obituary

WILLIAMS,
Jeffrey

It saddens us all that on March 3, 2011 Jeffrey Williams, a loving father, son, brother, uncle and loyal friend, went to soar with the angels in heaven. Jeff left in peace with his family by his side, knowing how very much he was loved. Jeff was born October 27, 1964 in Bellingham, WA to Sandy and Ray Williams. The family moved to Medical Lake in 1973 where he spent his school years excelling in baseball and basketball, graduating from Medical Lake High School in 1983. Soon after graduation Jeff moved to Portland, OR finding work at Applied Industries in the warehouse. He moved to LA for the company, taking an inside sales position. He quickly moved up the ladder and ended his very successful 24 year career in the industry as a district manager for Kaman Industries. He leaves behind his loving children, the absolute joys of his life, Teal Pickerel, 23, of Burien, WA, Skyler Marie Williams, 11, and Chancellar Jeffrey Alvin Williams, 7, of Glendora, CA. Besides his children Jeff leaves behind his loving parents Ray Williams of Otis Orchards, WA and Sandy Williams of Spokane, WA; older brother Steve Williams with wife Kathie and nephews, Jason and Chase Williams of Spokane; younger sister Kim Boyd with husband Rob and nieces, Chloe and Callie Boyd of Campbell, CA, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. We miss and love you buddy, more than you will ever know. See you on the other side. A celebration of Jeff's life will be held on April 10th, 2011 at 2:30pm at Center Place Event Center, 2426 Discovery Place, Spokane Valley, WA with a reception to follow (flip flops optional). I am so deeply saddened to learn of Jeff's passing. My heart goes out to the Williams family. I first met Jeff in the mid-eighties when he came to work for Bearings Incorporated at their regional warehouse in Portland. I took and instant liking to him from day one. There was never a dull moment while working with him, there were always plenty of laughs. He came to my home town a few times to play pick-up basketball and he held his own, he was a very talented player. I will always remember where I was on January 28th, 1986 because that's the day of the space shuttle Challenger disaster. We were working in the warehouse that morning and Jeff was the first person to tell me about it. I also remember the car he drove, a cinnamon colored Mazda RX-7. I had hoped he would settle down in the area but he was drawn to California and better opportunity. I spoke with him a few times after he left but unfortunately I lost contact with him. I was thinking of him today and was wondering how he was doing and learned of the heartbreaking news. I will never forget his laugh and his infectious smile, he was an outstanding person and it was an honer to have known him. The world was a brighter place with him in it. RIP friend, til we meet again.

I am so so sad to find out Jeff has passed. I have been trying to get in touch with him for several years since he left Kaman. I met Jeff when he was working for King Bearing in North Hollywood in 1987. We became friends instantly and had some good time while he lived in LA. I'm speechless while typing this. Jeff I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. You will be missed!

Hi Buddy, One year has passed since you left us. Don't know how l made it but I did. Each day is still a challenge, but I know you are always with me. KIm and I went to be with the kids on the one year anniversary of your death. Skyler picked The Islands Burger for dinner, because we ate there the last time you had visited. They are growing up so much. Sky plays the violin like a pro and loves orchestra and plans on sticking with it.

We were there for Chances opening game of Baseball. They lost but I think he was glad we were there. Sky is trying cross country track this year and likes volleyball. I am sure you are watching over them and know all this already. I still don't understand why you had to go, only you and God know that. I miss you more each day and that will never change, but each day I know brings me one day closer to seeing you again. Tell everyone Hi and we miss them too. Love you always, Mom

My thoughts and prayers go out to Jeff's family and friends. Altough I was 4 years younger, Jeff always made time to invite me over to their home to hang out and play basketball. I think he was really using me as the token defender, while he perfected his "Jump Shot". Rest in peace Jeff
