Later in life, she had her own cleaning business and eventually went to work for Spokane School District 81 as an aide to her (kiddos) and she was moving into retirement when she became ill. She will be missed by all who loved her.

Joanne was preceded in death by her parents and her precious granddaughter Khylee Rae.

She is survived by her children, Jocette Wilbanks (Ben), Nathan Schmidt (Marla), and Kolette Singleton (Alex), her grandchildren, Audrey, Ava, Shylah, and Sundae, sisters, Dee (Chuck), Maire (Mike), and brother Bud. All her nieces and nephews.

Loved by and Nana to the Martinez children and the Chaney family.

Joanne was a best friend starting in 8th grade after meeting in Silver Spurs. She came in and out of my life. We both worked at Sacred Heart and l was volunteering at Longfellow when she was there. We talked a lot about the loss of her precious granddaughter who she loved very much. Also spent many weekends at her parents home when we were in high school. She will be missed. Wendy Holcomb
