Kevin left this Earth, but leaves behind a legacy of loving kindness, big smiles and easy laughs, and a helpful heart as big as his hugs. Kevin was born in Portland, OR and grew up in Spokane, WA surrounded by his parents Roger and Ruth Rowse and brother Sam, aunts, uncles, and cousins who were good friends, and a hearty dose of loving grandparents. Kevin graduated with honors in pre-law from Eastern Washington University. He then grabbed his snowboard and followed his brother Sam to Vail, CO. He also became a boundless bicycler, banjo player, and a self-taught chef and baker. He was a perfectionist and created a dish over and over until it was perfect. His parents, who moved to Boulder, loved being his test kitchen. When an accident in his home took Kevin from us, his beloved dogs Bee and Deba were by his side. We are all blessed to have had our short time with him. His family’s hope is that we carry on his legacy, reaching out to others as Kevin did. A memorial service will be held in Boulder on January 27, 2018. Details may be found at dignitymemorial.com.

Kevin was a wonderful, thoughtful, sweet young man. He had this honesty and grace with which he approached things and expressed himself. He loved to help. I will always remember his gentle voice.
