Kim Leinani LINDER Obituary

LINDER, Kim Leinani Jan 20, 1963 - Nov 23, 2025 It is with great sorrow that we tell you that our beloved daughter, mother, partner, and friend, Kim Leinani Linder, passed away on November 23, 2025, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Born in Glasgow, MT, on January 20, 1963, Kim grew up traveling with her parents to the very edges of the United States while her father was frequently stationed as part of his duty to the US Navy. Throughout her childhood, she lived in Hawai'i, Guam, Wake Island, and Alaska before returning to Montana to finish high school and earn her Bachelor of Arts with honors in Higher Education at the University of Montana. While simultaneously working full-time in Spokane for the State of Washington and raising her two sons, Kim attended night classes at Gonzaga University and earned her Master of Arts in Teaching, with her thesis having received multiple scholastic awards. Kim was both talented and diligent in her role as a social worker for the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services, always making sure the interests and needs of children were the top priority. In retirement, she found a friendly and engaging community of friends within the local Spokane Pokémon Go scene, where many friends and members saw her as a matriarch of the community. She always had a taste for grunge music and alternative rock, and would often find time to relax by playing the piano and practicing with her bass guitar. Kim was preceded in death by her cherished father, Ronald D. Linder. Kim is survived by her mother, Nani Aki Linder; her sons, Ryan Stolz and Jordan Rogers; her partner, Kris Dahlquist; along with a multitude of extended family members spread across Montana, Washington, and Hawai'i.
