Kyle ERWIN Obituary

ERWIN, Kyle
Sean-Vincent

Kyle Sean-Vincent Erwin was born on December 7, 1996 in Placentia, CA and passed away September 10, 2017 at Seattle Children's Hospital Seattle, WA. Kyle was born with congenital heart defects and received a heart transplant on June 18, 2011 from a very generous donor.
Through his lifelong struggles, Kyle always had a smile. He inspired so many with his strength, courage, perseverance and unmatched ability to make everyone smile no matter what. He loved football and enjoyed being an assistant coach with his father. He cherished spending time cooking with his mom and watching cooking shows to create and eat new things. He always looked forward to family gatherings and time spent around his loved ones. He enjoyed his time with friends and was able to touch everyone's life with his kind, sincere and genuine happiness daily.
Kyle is survived by his father (Mark) mom (Kim); sisters Michelle (Josh) and Kristen; his loving Grammy Gloria (Pat) and Grandma Carmen; his Auntie Ginger (Pat); his Uncle John (Shirley), Uncle Matt and Uncle Billy; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be met in heaven by Grampy, Papa, Nina and Nino who passed before him.
Celebration of his life will be held at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish, 3624 W. Indian Trail Rd, Spokane WA 99208. Rosary will be held on Monday, September 18, 2017 at 6:00pm. Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, September 19th at 10:00 am. Interment immediately following at Holy Cross Cemetery. Reception to follow at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish Hall. All are welcome to come celebrate and share your memories.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to LifeCenter Northwest (Organ Procurement) or Ronald McDonald House of Charities in memory of Kyle Erwin.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Seattle Children's Hospital Cardiac Transplant Team, whose exceptional work allowed us six more love and laughter filled years with Kyle. Also to the CICU and Cardiac care teams, and all who cared for him and supported our family throughout his journey. We are forever grateful to you all. Arrangements have been entrusted to:

Kyle, your journey has crossed paths with so many people...I am so very blessed that you crossed mine. Your amazing resilience, determination, and ever-positive spirit has been so enlightening to me. Seeing you go for a walk on the ventilator...I hope that inspires us to do that more for others in our future; to desire no sedation so you are alert and a part of what is going on around you. You could smile through it all. Heaven is truly blessed by your presence and know in your heart "thy will be done!"
Mark and Kim...your are amazing parents and Kyle was truly blessed to carried down this journey by amazing people. You have become very special to me, and always know that you will be a part of me forever. Sending you hugs for your heart, and something homemade always.

Kyle was a true joy to be around at family get togethers as a young child and as a young adult. His personality was always happy and positive. He was an inspiration to many during his short but impressive life. The world has lost but God has gained.

When I was in charge of the hot lunch program at Assumption School and had to set out tubs for snacks, Kyle was often right there, with that big smile, asking, "Can I help you Mrs. Morse?" He was that special kid who just helped others, without being asked, just because he knew it was the right thing to do. You will be truely missed on this earth, but what an awesome addition to heaven! All my love and prayers.

You have touched so many Kyle your smile was absolutely breath taking, your strength and courage was beyond belief, you could and did bring me so much happiness, I can remember you coming to the house and within seconds your smile changed the entire household. I could be having a busy day and feeling so overwhelmed, and you would come through the door and smile, through it all you never allowed your smile to fade, even when you went from Seattle, to Cincinnati where you and your Mom spent weeks away from your Dad and sisters and your extended family at the AFH, It was an honor to have you at my wedding and to be a part of your life.Although you are gone you will never ever be forgotten. We love you so much and you will forever be remembered for your strength and your amazing smile. We love you Kyle, Jen & Pam,,,, Pam says get your work done,
