LaRonne Dewitt "Ron" POZZI

1922 - 2018

POZZI, Ron LaRonne (Ron) Dewitt Pozzi, 96, passed away peacefully, Tues., November 20, 2018 at Panorama Retirement and Health Center, Lacey WA. Ron was born in Kent, Washington on June 16, 1922 and attended both grade school and high school there. After gradu -ation he went to what is now WSU and graduated with a bachelors degree in music. Ron also served in the U.S. military. During his last year of college, he met his first wife, Shirley McBride at a dinner at the Kappa Alpha Theta house. They were married in June 1950. They then moved to Spokane, WA. and bought a little house to start a family. Ron enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He especially loved playing golf throughout his entire life and shot an 89 the last time he played. Blessed with a natural and beautiful tenor voice, he sang in the choir at St. John's Cathedral for several years and at many functions, especially weddings. In 1975, he met and married, the late Ruth (Bafus) Pozzi. They lived in Spokane for several years and then moved and bought a home on the Capital City golf course in Lacey, WA. When Ruth had a stroke, they moved into Panorama Retirement and Health Center, where she later passed away. The family would like to extend a special thank you to his care givers and nurses at Panorama Retirement and Health Center in Lacey for their loving care and support during the last few years of his life and for being very accommodating and understanding during this time. Ron is survived by his three sons. David Pozzi, Palm Springs, CA., Richard Pozzi, Spokane, WA., and Jeff Pozzi, Mesquite, Texas and two grandchildren, Josh and Emily Pozzi.
