Laura wanted her obit to say simply "The End" but there is so much more to say.

She was deeply loved by her mother, Mikel Reuter and step-father Bill; her father Bob Allen of Boise and stepmother Verla; her brother Greg Allen of Spokane and sister-in-law Carrie, and their daughters Samantha and Jordan.

Loved by siblings in Boise, Brenda Hanson, Mike Westover, Miles Christensen and Danene Thompson. Also many nieces and nephews whom she loved and received much love in return.

Laura was an artist, a singer, a hair designer, a traveler, a spiritual searcher, an activist in the quest to save the Mustangs, and a warrior in her fight with cystic fibrosis. She loved life, her family, her friends and most especially her dog, Scooter.

Her wish would be for memorials in her name be sent to Return to Freedom, PO Box 926, Lompoc, CA 93438, an organization to saving the wild horses.

A Celebration of Laura's life will be January 14, 2016 at 10:00AM at Heritage Funeral Home.

Come with happy faces, we know she is running wild and free with her horse and her dogs... and she can breathe.

Lovely Laura is what I use to say about Laura....
I worked with Laura at 30th off Grand and Salon Au Post hair salons. Laura was such a ray of sunshine, and found joy in life. She was a a talented hairdresser and a great friend to many...
She was a wonderful person, I will always remember her smile and her love of her family.

I'm so sorry to read about Laura. One day no one will say, "I am sick" Isa 33:24; we will never again say goodbye to someone we love .

I can still 'hear' Laura's cheery-optimistic voice in all things. She did so much in her young life and suffered, yet was always sunny. I will miss her a lot. I met her in 1992 and loved her from the moment I knew her. She used to cut my hair, come to my house, explain how she did her paintings, her photography- always excited about the next new thing. Four of us would come to each other's houses for games, food and conversation. The last time we had lunch, she was telling us how she loved BOOTS and showed them off to us. She was so talented in many ways and I am sure Gold called her "Come my great and wonderful servant--your time was used wisely and well' or something like that. Loved her. My condolences to you for your great loss.
